Abstract Art Notecards and Bookmarks

These notecard sets and hand finished bookmarks sets feature sections of an original piece of abstract art…

The advent of electronic books, email, text, and instant messaging has changed how we communicate and so it has never been more important to champion writing a letter or note, or reading a physical book. This is why it is such a pleasure creating products such as these abstract art notecards and bookmarks.

The original abstract artwork…

The original abstract artwork is A2 and was created using a range of Uniball Pin fine liner pens back in July 2017. After hours and hours of adding in the highly detailed zentangle inspired patterns I then added small sections of colour using coloured pencils to break up the design and add an element of fun. The original piece still takes pride of place in our guest room but I constantly harbour a feeling of guilt for keeping it all to myself, so I decided to send it away for scanning. With the scan to hand I could put the artwork to use in ways that everyone could appreciate; this is how the set of abstract art notecards and bookmarks came about.

About the abstract art notecards and bookmarks

The notecards are sold as a set of 6, including 3 of each design; put together the notecards show the majority of the original abstract piece. The notecards are A6, printed onto 320gsm matte art and are trimmed, creased, and folded by my own fair hands. They come supplied with white 120gsm peel and seal envelopes too so there’s no need to lick any yucky glue!

The bookmarks are a set of 4, with each one showing a section of the original abstract artwork. These too are printed onto 320gsm matte art, measure 60mm x 160mm and are hand finished with metallic inks to some of the small coloured sections. These can also be supplied with matching black tassels which adds another dimension to their use as bookmarks.
